however the building's identification says Amanda Twsp.
School is not located on any map for this location, so it could have been
moved from another location and placed to now where it sits.

This mansion was within 5-6 miles of six schools, quite possible
that numerous students stood in awe of this architecture.

A very interesting old home located about a mile around the corner of District #2 school. Quite possible the family who lived here attended that very school.

COVERED BRIDGES AND COURT HOUSES
Since the culture of the one room school houses was during the late 1800s and early 1900s, I decided to also put on this blog the the relevant architecture that the school children would have been directly exposed to. Which would be the covered bridges that the children would have actually crossed, and the county court houses that they would have certainly seen on their trip into town.

BRIER RIDGE CHURCH/ADAMS COUNTY
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP
Church was on the same road as two different schools, a good possiblity that some students attended Sunday Service here at times.
KIRKER COVERED BRIDGE/ADAMS COUNTY
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP
Bridge was within 3 miles of numerous schools, obviously students utilized this bridge in their local travels.
HARSHAVILLE COVERED BRIDGE/ADAMS COUNTY
OLIVER TOWNSHIP
Bridge was less than a half a mile from the closest school, and with 2-3 miles of several others. Needless to say, students crossed this bridge numerous times.
*Interesting fact-this bridge was used by the Confederate Army's John Morgan Raiders

PLEASANT BEND SCHOOL/DARKE COUNTY
ADAMS TOWNSHIP #3
This school was a 2 room schoolhouse; the lower portion is mostly what is left of the original school. The top portion has been added to once the actual school had ended. However, most of the original building is still there.

MCCAFFERTY BRIDGE/BROWN COUNTY
PERRRY TOWNSHIP
This covered bridge was right off of US RT-50, and was centered within 3 miles of at least 5 schools.
